TROLLBLOODSTROLLBLOODS
Why they Fight:
For centuries they have seen their sacred lands taken and their numbers diminished. Now the human nations have brought war to their last refuges in western Immoren. Banding together with their less civilized kin, the trollkin are on the warpath united with heavily armed trolls and the wild dire trolls. The Trollblood march to war to claim what is theirs.

Mighty chieftains rise to rally the trollkin. Among the kriels of the Thornwood Forest, Chief Madrack Ironhide has become an inspiration to his people. Chief Madrack is unstoppable in battle as an albino master of both sorcery and arms. His people have called to him, and he will defend them against all aggressors. Together with their mighty cousins the Trolls, they will rise up to claim what is rightfully theirs and shake the Iron Kingdoms with their war cries.

Building a Trollblood Army:
Heavily armored and mad as hell—the Trollblood faction brings the hurt like no other faction in HORDES. For centuries the Trollbloods have seen their sacred lands taken and their numbers diminished. Now the human nations have brought war to their last refuges in western Immoren. Banding together with their less civilized kin and united with heavily armed trolls and wild dire trolls, the trollkin are on the warpath. The Trollbloods march to war to claim what is theirs.

All manner of trolls form the Trollblood faction, from savage dire trolls to cunning trollkin; each is employed to give this faction versatility on the battlefield. Commanded by imposing trollkin warlocks, resilient and powerful trolls provide the backbone of a Trollblood army. Unified in purpose, the Trollblood army seeks to carve a place for themselves in the war-torn Iron Kingdoms. If you enjoy playing as a protagonist that pulls no punches then the Trollbood army may be for you.
CIRCLE OF ORBOROSCIRCLE OF ORBOROS
Mystery of the Circle Orboros:
A mysterious and secretive group, few know of this ancient order of druids. Though few in number, they wield great power and influence wherever the shadow of wilderness falls. Capable of summoning the forces of the storm and stone, their will is rarely contested. Now they command the beasts of the wild to fight any who would dare.

There is no more mysterious a group in western Immoren than the Blackclad druids. They name themselves the Circle Orboros, shortened among outsiders to simply “the Circle.” They are an ancient order of those who have answered the wilding, hearing the voices of the wilderness, the call of beasts, and storm.

Druids are linked in spirit to the Beast of All Shapes—the father of predators and the embodiment of natural destruction. They do not serve the Devourer as priests, for theirs is a less worshipful yet more intimate relationship. They revere this god by its secret name of power: Orboros. This name describes a serpent swallowing its tail, signifying infinity, endless power, and the reach of nature which encircles Caen.
Building a Circle Orboros Army:
Masters of storm and stone, the Circle excels in controlling both beast and the battlefield.

The Circle Orboros boasts warlocks of great magical might, with the power to transform their beasts into deadly hunters and controlling the very terrain of the battlefield. With a mobility born not just of speed but of control of the land, a Circle army excels in guerilla-style combat—hitting hard, hitting fast, and disappearing into the forest shadows.
LEGION OF EVERBLIGHTLEGION OF EVERBLIGHT
A Legion is massing:
There are some evils possessed of infinite patience and guile. Dragons are such a force. They are not alive in the same fashion as other beasts, nor do they die. A dragon’s flesh is a transitory shell for carrying its malignant consciousness. Even when obliterated down to its core essence, the athanc, a dragon endures. From this unholy stone, a new dragon can be reborn with the mind of the old, quickly regenerating to full strength. No lore or craft of mortals has been able to destroy these dragon stones.

The dragon Everblight was thought defeated by the Iosans centuries ago, but one does not so easily stop the immortal scions of the Dragonfather. Everblight has returned from his prison in the Top of the World and unleashes his newly massed legion of blighted beasts upon the world.

Everblight’s undiminished mind conceived an ingenious plan. It would gain its freedom and more without reforming its flesh and blood. Without a body it could avoid its sibling rivals such as Halfaug and Scaefang. It would initiate a new strategy to preserve its immortality, stay hidden from its dragon kin, and carve out its own domain before returning to flesh.

When an ogrun wanderer heard alluring and irresistible whispers on the wind and answered the call,he unleashed a new terror on the world: the Legion of Everblight.

Building a Legion of Everblight Army:
The Legion of Everblight uses speed and the threat of first strike as its primary tactics. Flanking and threatening charges by multiple targets, this army surrounds an enemy like the jaws of a dragon. A single false move on the opponent’s side will open them up for the killing blow, as the dragon’s maw closes with surprising swiftness.

If, by the time you’ve finished reading this, you hear a cold and distant whispering voice infecting your very soul, then Everblight has you. Build your horde and may the first blood of battle be yours, for victory shall be Everblight’s.
SKORNESKORNE
They Come to Conquer:
From beyond the treacherous Bloodstone Marches, the savage race of the Skorne now march on western Immoren with but one purpose: the utter of all its nations under their dreaded touch. With this army of sorrows come warbeast the likes of which the nations of men have never seen.

The Skorne have lived for millennia in the harsh wastelands of the east beyond the deadly Stormlands. This rugged species has endured daily lives of hardship and struggle. Their politics, such as they are, are comprised of endless betrayals and internecine warfare. For the Skorne, life is a battle for survival. Each crop of food is hard earned or raided from rivals and supplemented by the hunting of enormous and deadly beasts for meager scraps of toughened meat.

They have learned to subsist on little, to trust no one, and to expect that life will be brutal, short, and filled with pain. The only joy they take is in tormenting their rivals and gaining enough power to bask in the adoration of their subjugated vassals. Their history has been one long unending dark age of competing warlords. The only gods they worship are their own ancestors—the most savage of their bloodlines able to carve petty empires from the holdings of their rivals. The very souls of these honored ancestors are captured at death and interred in sacral interment stones, some of which become vessels for unholy power. Over long centuries of brutality, the Skorne have shaped a complex and sophisticated civilization where cruelty and torture have advanced to the level of art.

Building a Skorne Army:
From beyond the treacherous Bloodstone Marches, the savage race of the Skorne now march on western Immoren with one purpose: the utter subjugation of all its nations under their dreaded touch. With this army of sorrows come warbeasts the likes of which the nations of men have never seen. Broken to serve as weapons of war, these enslaved warbeasts are barely restrained in battle, while the Skorne troops are rigorously disciplined.
